TAG-TO-NAME (OR RENAME BY TAG)
Rename by tag is a function that allows you to quickly rename badly named but correctly tagged files. Quite often the files are named "track01.mp3", "track02.mp3" and so forth, but their tags have a correct author, album and song name. That is where "Rename by tag" comes in.
This function works with .aac,.ape (.mac), .flac, .mp3, .mp2, .mpa, .mpc, .ogg, .ofr, .ofs, .tta, .wma, .vqf, .m4a, .m4b, .m4p filetypes.
Select the folder with the audio files and click on the "Rename by tag" button in top right corner.
AudioMagus will read the tags from the files and a new window will pop up:
In the "Rename by tag" window you can check and edit the new filenames before renaming. In the left are the current filenames, in the right are proposed filenames obtained from tags. Note that you can edit the proposed filenames - just left-click on the proposed filename that you want to edit. If you are happy with the result, click on "Accept and rename" button.
